Ideas towards living more sustainably and saving some money
Buriton is connecting with other local groups including villages between Petersfield and Midhurst who are encouraging people to join them by taking a step or two towards living more sustainably, and maybe saving some money.
Each month they are sharing a ‘Tweak of the Month’ for people to try.
This month’s tweak encourages us all to reduce our use of single-use plastics which persist in the environment for 100s of years.
They are made of oil with their carbon footprint being further increased by all the transport involved in their production.
Often there are simple alternatives, we just have to remember to opt for them!
Make June a month in which you review the single use plastics currently in your lives and make a few changes!
As the organisers stress: a lot of people doing a little still adds up to a lot!
