Charity Bike Ride and family fun day

Visit GSD Giant for more information and to register for the event.

The GSD Giant sweeps through the picturesque lanes of West Sussex and Hampshire in support of a locally-based charity, the AGSD-UK. Setting out from the magnificent Goodwood Racecourse the route circumnavigates the South Downs National Park between Petworth in the east and the Meon Valley in the west; passing through some of the prettiest villages and hamlets in the South of England, including Buriton.  Cycling by green rolling pastures, ancient woodlands, river valleys and wetlands within one of Britain’s most accessible breathing spaces you’ll experience an exhilarating and challenging sportive and you'll be helped to recuperate afterwards with hot food and refreshments.

For those less energetic, we also have a fun circuit for all the family to enjoy:  The GSD Elf is a 5 mile route through local lanes around Goodwood Racecourse. The final climb gives spectacular views of the Downs and the magnicficant racecourse stand.

This route can be ridden purely for fun or as a focus for fundraising; ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you for each lap of the course you can achieve.

Electrically assisted bikes can ride this circuit without worring about battery endurance. In fact eBikes will be available to try out on the day and can be taken around the GSD Elf (Electric Fun) circuit for the standard entry fee.

Entry fees for the GSD Elf are set as £10 per adult. Children go free, but must be accompanied by a cyling adult. Adults are given a £5 discount on the entry fee if they choose to fundraise for the AGSD-UK.
