Gentle South Downs Giant
A giant cycle around the gently undulating lanes of the South Downs.
Three circular routes for all levels of ability: 44, 76 and 102 miles.
Buriton is just over half-way along the longest route, the 102 mile-long Giant. Cyclists will pass through Buriton from late morning onwards.
Buriton Wine Challenge
This is the third Buriton Wine Challenge in aid of the AGSD-UK. Funds raised will sponsor Allan Muir to take part in a slightly more demanding challenge - a 1500 mile cycle ride from Pompey to Pompeii in September. All funds raised from the event will go towards supporting families living with Pompe and related ultra-rare diseases and to promote research into improved care and treatments.
The Buriton Wine Challenge is a sequence of wine-tasting games whereby teams of eight adults compete against each other; the emphasis will be on having fun rather than testing detailed wine knowledge. Wines from around the world will be sampled and supper will be provided during a short interval. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
