Some of the community activities that have taken place in the parish in recent years are featured in the South Downs National Park's latest newspaper.

Villagers in Buriton's adopted community of Dominase - thousands of miles away in darkest Africa - are now learning more about life in Buriton.

There is more good news to report from Dominase thanks to money raised by the Buriton-based 'Village-to-Village' Charity.

The Petersfield Ramblers group made a special visit to Buriton in June to look at the nature reserves at Coulters Dean and in the Buriton Chalk Pits.

With the three years of Lottery Funding drawing towards its close, volunteers are putting the finishing touches to their plans to look after the Chalk Pits Nature Reserve over the years ahead.
