The community's 2013 calendar was far more popular than initially envisaged - so the organisers are doing the same thing for 2014 and want even more people to take photographs for consideration.
Scores of Buriton 2013 Calendars are now hanging on walls around the parish - and in the homes of friends and relatives further afield as they proved to be very popular Christmas presents.
Far more copies than imagined were sold, raising over £800 for two very good local causes.
So, the organisers are doing it all again - as they know that there are many more pictures of the parish that can be snapped and included ?
As has been explained in the Parish Magazine, the aim is to produce a calendar with pictures depicting different aspects of the area: local life, attractive scenes, memorable moments - anything that you think you would like to see hanging on a wall for a month at a time ?
Pictures don't have to be taken this year - so dig out some of your old favourite snaps ?
The closing date for entries is Village Show day: Saturday 17 August
Pictures can be given to either Elaine Bray or Doug Jones: as hard copies, by email or on CDs.
All money raised will go towards ongoing projects at St Mary's Church, Buriton, and in our sister community of Dominase in rural Ghana.
Happy snapping ?
