Buriton Manor Barn wedding venue hits the headlines

The BBC, ITV News and Daily Mirror are amongst news outlets reporting that the venue has hit financial troubles and that dozens of couples have been left disappointed after their weddings have been abruptly cancelled

It's not often that Buriton hits the headlines in the media - and it's usually for good reasons such as the community's 'Book of the Year' in 2012, its award-winning Parish Plans, its charity work with Dominase in Ghana and its well-organised NeighbourCare initiative which helps housebound, elderly or infirm parishioners who need a hand.

In recent weeks the national and regional media have been focussing on The Manor Barn, owned by Mr Robert Camping, as rumours of cancelled weddings and knock-on effects began to circulate.
