A concert featuring local musicians including (among others) cellist Mikhail Lezdkan and clarinettist Rob Blanken.
The concert is one of a pair exploring some much-used musical labels; this one moves from Romanticism, via Impressionism, closer to Today.
The music includes piano and chamber pieces by Schumann and Debussy, a handful of songs, and Olivier Messiaen’s complete wartime Quartet for the End of Time.
Interspersed with the occasional reading: including poems by Wordsworth and John Masefield.
Admission is free, with a retiring collection, and interval refreshments will be available.
