Sort Your Seeds Out

Seed swap

There’ll be a ‘Seed Swap’ at the next community coffee morning

There’ll be a ‘Seed Swap’ at the next community coffee morning on Saturday, 2nd March: 10.30-12.30 in the village hall.

Buriton’s environmental group (BEA) will be giving away some packs of wildflower seeds so you can make your own wildflower patch at home to help our bees and other pollinators do their job to keep us and other wildlife well fed.

And it’s hoped that gardeners will share and swop their seeds to save a few pennies and avoid waste.

Seed packets often come with many more seeds than needed, so sharing these would be a great way to avoid waste.

Please bring your surplus and saved seeds to swap, or pick some up to try something new for the coming growing year.

Whether they’re flowers, vegetables, herbs or salads, bring along any spare seeds you might have stashed in the garden shed or elsewhere so that they can be swapped or shared with others.

If you can drop seeds off in advance of the day, then please visit Lynchets in Bones Lane where you’ll find a box to leave your seeds in, in the porch.
