East Hampshire District Council and Hampshire County Council have joined forces with other councils across the county to help householders install loft and cavity-wall insulation to high standards. Anyone registering before 31st March 2012 is likely to get work done free of charge - thereafter there will be some charges but they are likely to represent very good value. An enthusiastic group of volunteers have improved a popular countryside footpath in the parish - making access to some wonderful views over the village much easier.

Buriton's innovative 'Buy a Bog' Christmas fund raising campaign raised over ?600 with contributions from London, Northamptonshire and the Lake District.
