An enthusiastic group of volunteers have improved a popular countryside footpath in the parish - making access to some wonderful views over the village much easier.

Buriton's innovative 'Buy a Bog' Christmas fund raising campaign raised over ?600 with contributions from London, Northamptonshire and the Lake District.

Stuck for a gift for family or friends? What about a toilet? That's right, just ?30 can buy the materials for a family toilet in Buriton's sister community of Dominase in rural Ghana. ?50 includes enough money to pay for a mason to help build it.

About 80 people packed into Buriton Village Hall on Monday 5th December to listen to best-selling thriller writer Graham Hurley.
