The Village Inn is a new, hospitable venue offering good food and en-suite overnight accommodation.
Previously known as The Maple Inn and The Master Robert, the pub is ideally placed for walkers and cyclists using the South Downs Way, Hangers Way and Shipwrights Way.
It has been under new management since January 2017 and has been lovingly refurbished from top to toe.
The Village Inn stocks well-chosen cask conditioned and keg ales, together with a guest micro-brewed ale, alongside popular lagers and Guinness. There is also an indoor 'Gin Shed' featuring over 25 individually chosen gins for fun tasting sessions and comparing notes.
Under Chef Patron Heinrich Boreniok the Village Inn will turn to local food suppliers to provide ingredients for the contemporary, seasonal menus on offer: a well-chosen array of grills and dishes to suit all pockets.
Heinrich was raised in the beautiful countryside of Franconia in North Bavaria, Germany where most of his daily family life revolved in or around the kitchen. He has gained his experience and classical training in a range of leading establishments in Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and the UK and he describes being Chef Patron at The Village Inn as a life's dream.
The Inn has 14 individually designed bedrooms (some inter-connecting: ideal for families) with luxurious roll top baths or superb contemporary showers to suit all tastes and budgets
