Sunday 16th August – 10am
The Chalk Pits Ranger, Ashlea Walters from QECP, is now able to arrange tidying sessions again (suitably socially distanced) in the Nature Reserve.
There are plans for the first session to be held on Sunday 16th August from 10am to about 1pm: some cutting back, litter picking, tidying and removing inappropriate species in particular places.
Ashlea says that “The Chalk Pits Nature Reserve has a wonderfully diverse range of species and provide a beautiful oasis: a testament to nature’s ability to reclaim an area from the hard industry of quarrying and lime-burning to a reserve that punches well above its weight. I hope to see you on Sunday 16th August.”
Contact Ashlea via firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or just come along, even if just for an hour or so.
Meet at the Halls Hill car park at the top of Kiln Lane. Please wear sensible shoes – and clothing that you are not precious about!
