Buriton Parish Council has learnt that emails or letters are being sent to couples who are planning to hold their weddings at the Manor Barn, Buriton, on behalf of Mr Robert Camping.
The letters inform recipients about some ?alarming and upsetting? news. They suggest that the Premises License at the Manor House is under review ?due to actions of the Parish Council and others?.
Buriton Parish Council would like to clarify any misunderstandings or misrepresentation of facts. The Council has not sought or initiated this review, although it is aware of disturbances caused to parishioners in the last two years since Mr Camping took over the premises.
The review of the license has been instigated by East Hampshire District Council's Environmental Protection Department as they believe the License Holder has failed to promote the licensing objective: the Prevention of Public Nuisance.
Full details of the situation can be found in the 'Agenda Reports Pack' via this link: http://easthants.moderngov.co.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=147&MId=1955
Buriton Parish Council is aware that a number of families who are planning to hold weddings at the Buriton Manor Barn during 2016 are worried about this situation and that they have set up a Facebook group ?to share information and avoid confusions?: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1546738768978021/?fref=ts
