During the Christmas and New Year period, revised dates will be in place for EHDC waste and recycling collections.
There will obviously be changes to the dates of waste collections over the Christmas period as no-one will be emptying bins in the village on Friday 25th December!
Changes are due to affect the collections of rubbish, recycling, garden and bulky items. There are details of when bins will be collected here but it looks like: instead of Friday 25th (for green bins) it’ll be Monday 28th; instead of Friday 1st January (for glass and recycling) it’ll be Monday 4th; instead of Friday 8th (for green bins) it’ll be Saturday 9th; and then things should be back to normal for Friday 15th January.
Everyone needs to have their bins out by 7am on each collection day.
If your bin isn’t collected: You can report a missed bin 24/7 via your MyEHDC account. Missed bins must be reported by 4pm on the next working day after your scheduled collection.

Beware fly-tip penalty charges: EHDC has issued a reminder that fly-tipping can be costly - even if someone else dumps your junk. The council has issued £400 Fixed Penalty Notices to residents who had paid for their waste to be removed, only for it to end up fly-tipped in rural lanes. Homeowners need to get the correct paperwork from anyone taking their rubbish away. If they do not, and their waste is tipped, they are liable to face a penalty charge. Visit www.hants.gov.uk/fly-tipping and follow the guidance before allowing your waste to be taken.
