Children, parents, helpers and friends of Buriton Nursery School took part in a 'Sponsored Toddle' on Friday 24th February on the Village Recreation Ground - and raised over ?200 !
The toddle raised the money for the 'Buy a Bog' scheme - one of the projects run by Buriton's Village-to-Village Group.
The scheme is helping to improve sanitation in Buriton's adopted community of Dominase - in the far north of the Central Region of Ghana.
All the money raised will help to save the lives of young children who fall prey to deadly diseases caused by poor sanitation.
Pictures of Dominase and some of the bright clothes worn by villagers were on display at the event.
Organisers subsequently arranged a presentation of a giant cheque.
