The Parish Council is trying to get Hampshire County Council to re-visit local by-ways open to all traffic (BOATS) to assess them for suitability for use by 4x4 off-road vehicles

In the parish of Buriton there are a small number of BOATs, attractive old cart tracks that are often badly eroded by motor-vehicles - often people who have travelled from many miles away.
As well as damaging the tracks, the vehicles can cause conflicts with other users including walkers, horse-riders and cyclists.
