Miles and miles without stiles. Over the last four years, with cooperation from landowners, the Parish Council has been able to remove 21 stiles to make things easier for elderly people, for young families and people walking with dogs.
The most recent stiles to be removed are those in the Clays so that everyone can walk more easily from the village pond into the countryside.
Improvements over recent years also include some new 'permissive paths' introduced around Weston as well as new paths in the Chalk Pits Nature reserve.
The Parish Council would like to thank all the landowners involved.
We would also like to encourage everyone walking in the countryside to continue to respect farmland, to keep to designated paths, keep dogs under control and to take all litter home.
