Open Day of free fun at the QE Country Park

Queen Elizabeth Country Park's visitor centre is now open again with a day of family fun to celebrate on Saturday 19 October (10am-4pm).

The new visitor centre, fresh from a £1.2 million refurbishment, now boasts state of the art décor and facilities to accommodate walkers, cyclists and other visitors to this beautiful part of the South Downs National Park.

And the family fun day will include live music, local produce, children’s nature and biking trails, face painting and the opportunity to get up close to birds of prey.

The brand new Beechwood Kitchen, will be offering tasty, locally sourced food and drink including hearty breakfasts, vibrant salad bowls, deli sandwiches and home baked cakes.

The original Country Park Centre was opened in 1977 for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee and the large-scale refurbishment has brought the 70s architecture back to life, while making it a space people can enjoy and relax in. Changes include an entirely fresh, new look and reconfigured space housing a reception area, shop, toilets and event space to hire. Park.  Find out what's new
