A mystery story, a love triangle and a war story in a stunning Guernsey setting
Writer Juliet Ashton (played by Lily James) forms an unexpected bond with the residents of the Island of Guernsey in the aftermath of World War II when she decides to write a book about their experiences during the war.
Also starring Tom Courtenay, Penelope Wilton, Katherine Parkinson, Matthew Goode, Jessica Brown Findlay, Glen Powell and Michael Huisman this film combines comedy, travelogue and whodunnit arranged around war-time flash-backs and a love triangle.
As the secrets from the wartime unfold, Juliet's growing attachment to the island, the book club and her affection for one of the islanders will change the course of her life forever.
Films are shown in Buriton Village Hall near Petersfield at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm).
Refreshments are available before very show and there is an interval during which ice creams are available.
