Honey Show in Buriton Village Hall

Pop along between 2 and 4pm on Saturday 14th September to find out more about bees and honey – whilst drinking tea and eating cakes!

The Petersfield & District Beekeepers Association are holding their annual Honey Show in Buriton this year and they’d be delighted to see lots of villagers.

Not only would they like people to pop along (between 2 and 4pm) to find out more about bees, honey and wax while drinking tea and eating cake – they’d also like people to take part:

We welcome Steve as part of the team as the Manager of the Village Hall.

Steve is a retired Police Inspector, with a wealth of relevant experience, and is very personable, capable and practical.

Steve replaces Terry Doubleday, who has stepped down from the role, and will manage all the hall bookings and invoicing from now on.  So, please don’t hesitate to contact him if you have any ideas or suggestions for improving the service

Buriton Village Hall hosts Vintage Fair

A wide variety of goods from up to twenty dealers

 

The Vintage Fair in Buriton Village Hall is now in its second year.

You will find vintage clothing, accessories, jewellery, toys, books, kitchenalia, china, glass, militaria, records and much, much more including a few antiques! 

 

Entry is £1, children free, and the Fair is open from 10am until 4pm – with cups of tea and slices of cake available (as well as other refreshments).

Aikido: a new opportunity to improve mobility, fitness, health and wellbeing

Classes in Buriton Village Hall – every Monday

Adults are invited to come along to Buriton Village Hall near Petersfield (GU31 5RX) and try Aikido: a gentle martial art that is guaranteed to improve mobility, fitness, health & global wellbeing!

Practice sessions are being held every Monday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Village Hall – bookings still available

Have you thought about using the village hall for your events?

There are already scores of bookings for Buriton Village Hall, throughout 2018.

But bookings are still available, both for one-off and regular weekly activities.

There is currently availability as follows:

Main Hall:

  • Monday Morning until 11:30

  • Tuesday Morning until 12:30

  • Tuesday afternoon - 15:30 to 17:30

  • Wednesday until 18:00

  • Thursday Morning until 11:30

  • Thursday afternoon 15:30 to 18:00

  • Friday 11:00 until Midnight *

Terry has a wealth of experience in the maintenance industry having worked for both national and international companies in this area of their business.

Buriton Village Hall Users

The halls are used regularly during term times by Buriton Primary School and other regular users include Buriton Short Mat Bowls Club, Judo practice, Tai Chi, Pickleball and Dog Training.

The Hall is used for many other village events such as the monthly cinema films, the annual Village Show, Buriton Players events, the Buriton Heritage Bank Exhibition and events held by the Buriton Village Association and Buriton Tennis Club as well as for other drama and musical events.
