Plans for a day of festivities and fun in Buriton on Sunday 3rd June have been revealed in the Parish Magazine. And bookings are needed for the Street Party by 1st May so that the organisers know how many tables and chairs to obtain.

Activities for the day include:
10am: Church service at St. Mary’s
11am: assemble outside the church for a big photograph of parishioners. Please come along to ensure we capture a great image of our community in 2012
11.30-1pm: displays of school facilities and children’s work in Buriton Primary School
1.30-2.30pm: fancy dress ‘Royal Carriage’ wheelbarrow races along Sumner Road. Decorate your barrow in any Royal way and try to win a prize – or just come along to watch and cheer!
3-5pm: street party along the High Street. Burger & bun provided but feel free to bring your own Royal Banquet as well. Fancy dress competition (any Royal theme) for all ages. Entertainment to include music from the Liss Band. Please complete and return the booking form by 1st May
6pm: Songs of Praise in St. Mary’s Church
7.30-11pm: evening event in the Manor Barn with live music from every decade of the Queen’s reign. Places will be limited to 120 to ensure adequate room for dancing. Tickets are now SOLD OUT.
